About the role:

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available at Drake Medox for a Community Registered Nurse. Based in Adelaide, you will be administering injections to male clients recovering from prostate cancer, supporting them through their treatment and recovery journey.

This role focuses on administering prescribed injections, clinical monitoring and reporting, and providing education and reassurance to clients and their families in the home environment. You will work autonomously while being fully supported by our experienced clinical coordination team.

This is a community-based role with flexible daytime shifts, ideal for nurses seeking supplementary work and contributing to meaningful one-on-one care in the home.


Your key responsibilities:

Our team is looking for a compassionate and professional Registered Nurse who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

  • Administering prescribed injections in the home
  • Clinical assessment and monitoring of clients recovering from prostate cancer
  • Medication management and documentation
  • Providing education and support to clients and families
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and progress notes
  • Working autonomously in the community
  • Liaising and reporting to the Drake Medox Clinical Coordinator

About you:

To join the team, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Registered Nurse (AHPRA Registered)
  • Minimum 2 years post-graduate nursing experience
  • Experience administering injections (essential)
  • Community, oncology, urology, or chronic disease experience (highly regarded)
  • Accurate and timely reporting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a community setting
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • National Police Check
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
