About the role:
Drake Medox is seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard-working Registered Nurse within the Oakleigh area.
Our client in Oakleigh, requires experienced Registered Nurses to support them on an ongoing basis. Our client has limited mobility and a tracheostomy. We are looking for nurses who are available flexible to work across a 24/7 roster and be available to do a mix of afternoon and night shifts on fixed ongoing bases.
Our nurses will demonstrate teamwork and champion a safe and positive environment for our client and will be guided by a strong Allied Health presence. You will help us manage and maintain strong clinical standards and will be required to support our client in achieving their short and long-term goals.

Our ideal nurses will have proven experience in tracheostomy care, manual handling, Pressure Area Care and knowledge in PEG procedures.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Personal care
• Catheter care
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance
• Bowel Care management
• PEG management and feeds
• Tracheostomy
• Full supervision of the client

• Work with non-cuffed Tracheostomy care and management
• Airway assistance and management
• Continuous clinical assessment of client
• Assist alongside the Support Worker with ADL's
• PEG management including feeding and medication administration
• Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
• Support the client with activities at home and out in the community

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Being flexible to do afternoon and night shifts
• Previous experience (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• PEG management (essential)
• Personal care experience
• AHPRA Registration
• Current accredited First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Right to live and work within Australia
• Valid Australian Driver's License
• NDIS worker screener check
