About the role

We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you.

You will be part of a 24/7 ADHOC team. Drake Medox are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working support workers to do day and night shifts on an ADHOC basis.

We need support workers to join our ADHOC team on a casual basis. If you are looking for felixible hours and would like to pick up extra shifts around your lifestyle, this is the job for you.

You will need to have relevant disability experience and must be willing to travel up to 70km. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Manual handling
• Personal care
• Continence management
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance
• Rehabilitation exercises
• Have knowledge of Autonomic Dysreflexia
• Bowel/bladder care this includes daily bowel care and SPC management
• Light household duties & meal preparation

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Willing to travel.
• Previous experience with a spinal cord injury.
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• Personal care experience
• Bowel Care experience
• Catheter Care experience
• Current First aid and CPR
• NDIS Screening Clearance
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Minimum Certificate 3 in health care.

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client focused.
