About the role

Our client is a 43 year old young lady who is looking for the right supports to motivate her back to living her life to the fullest and has requested staff around her own age to assist her in this goal. Living in beautiful Redcliffe means options are endless to community access and social outings, not to mention the amazing surrounds of the Peninsula.

You will provide assistance with daily living including prompting personal care, planning, problem solving and community access, providing a safe environment in friendly surroundings. Our client suffers epileptic seizures and developmental delays so experience in disability or previous nursing care is a must. Client will require transports for medical appointments making Drivers Licence a must have. We are seeking staff for inactive sleepover shifts as well as day shifts. Shift times are 0900-1630 and 1730-2200 as the inactive sleepover. Please ensure your availability aligns with shift times required before applying for this role.

About you

The following skills and experience are paramount to the role:

  • Previous disability or nursing experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Seizure Management Experience - although we will provide paid training
  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Drivers Licence and comprehensive insurance

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
